The Octowood Octopost Fence Post Round Machined Creosote Treated Brown 200mm (W) x 2.4m (L) is an outstanding innovation from the Octowood Company based in Sweden. Octowood is part of the Rundvirke Skog Group, a group with its history rooted in telegraph pole manufacturing since the 1800s. Hence the Octopost has been dubbed ‘simply a mini telegraph pole’.

Grown around the Arctic Circle, these posts have a head start in regards to durability and strength as the cold weather slows the rate of growth, allowing a strong and weather resistant tree to grow. Each post is machined into its round profile, making them nearly identical to one another. This makes erecting a fence quicker and easier, and the consistency between posts is considerably more pleasing to look at.

Kiln dried and high pressure treated with Creosote give this post a considerable lifespan, above most other posts on the market. Octowood guarantee a 25 year lifespan at a minimum, but the life expectancy is often closer to 30-40 years.
